Brujas I (2023)

Ongoing personal photo project exploring the idea of a religion made up of womxn. Brujas, meaning "witches” in Spanish, is a counter-response to catholicism’s marianismo, term that encloses women into uniquely submissive roles. Brujas explores a communal response to the rules imposed by Patriarchy, and celebrates the search for answers within each other, planting the question; “how different would the world be, if Catholicism was based on femenine energy?”
